 Once cars were introduced in the early 1900's, it didn't take long for people to feel the need to clean them. Basic cleaning methods and the first waxes designed from animal fat, I image people to be equally excited and frustrated. The introduction of specialized products like commercial carnauba waxes wouldn't appear until the 1920s and 1940s.

 Dedicated professional detailing services and products wouldn't find their way onto the seen until the late 1960s and 1970s with modern advanced products like ceramic coatings coming in the 1990s and 2000s.
